Update regarding printing in the library:
Beginning May 12, 2008 students will use their LionCash+ account to purchase additional pages for printing in ITS computer labs and classrooms and University Libraries locations at University Park as well as other locations participating in the ITS printing system. Using LionCash+ enables a quick and convenient way to purchase additional printing pages and replaces the old method of locating a signature station, agreeing to bursar billing and waiting for authorization to occur. With LionCash+ for printing, students will continue to receive 110 subsidized pages each semester. For complete details see the LionCash+ for printing site.

Reminder about using 'Save As':
We are in the final week of classes when students are finishing up papers. In the past, DLT has seen problems when a student opens a attachment in webmail which, by default, is saved to a temporary space on the computer. Therefore, when they save their file, it is not saving it back to their webmail but to that temp space that gets erased after they log off. This means that any changes are lost.

The solution is to do a Save As in Word, Excel, etc. and save to either a USB key drive or network drive. DLT cannot retrieve lost work for them. Please help students avoid the stress, disappointment, and loss of time by reminding them to use the Save As function when working on public computers.
