Registering With the LibrariesThis is a featured page


Persons wishing to borrow materials from the Univerity Libraries must be registered with the the Libraries. Penn State faculty, staff, and students can electronically register with the Libraries at the same time that they activate their Access Account at any ITS signature station. It is also possible to register in person at the Circulation and Interlibrary Loan Desk or any branch library service desk.

Residents and some other non-students can also register for borrowing privileges with the Libraries. Effective May 8, 2006, all non-PSU Library users need to have a Friends of Penn State account to access online library services that require authentication, such as I Want It (request items), My Library Account (renew checked out items, update your address, etc.), My Favorites (quick access to authors and subjects you search for frequently).
