Students at Penn State now have free, legal access to over 2.75 million songs through Ruckus Network, Inc. Ruckus is a completely legal and advertising supported music service geared exclusively to the college community. All students with a valid Penn State e-mail address (psu.edu) have free unlimited access to the entire Ruckus music library. With the change to Ruckus, Penn State's agreement providing students with free access to the Napster music service ended May 31, 2007.
NOTE: Ruckus is no longer available
The Ruckus music services has closed down as of February 7, 2009, according to a notice on the web site www.ruckus.com. At this time the University has no further information about the closing of Ruckus.
