MTSS (website) is located in the Wagner Annex, located on Curtin Road, near Shields Building. Film and video holdings are cataloged in "Medianet", a Databases by Title (A-Z list) database. The CAT also has catalog records for many videos owned by and housed at MTSS, and these records provide a link to an online form which patrons can use to request to borrow specific videos.

Starting January 5, 2009, library users will be able to place holds for MTSS videos using the “I Want It” button in The CAT. The location and circulation status of MediaTech videos will display as it does for other library materials; and MediaTech videos charged out to a user will display on that user’s Library Account.
MediaTech videos requested via "I Want It" will be delivered to the user's selected pickup location, and will circulate for the standard 7-day video loan period. The location in The CAT for MediaTech videos will display as MediaTech, Wagner Annex. Pickup locations available to users of MediaTech videos will expand to the 29 pickup locations currently displayed via “I Want It” when users place holds.
Things that will NOT change:
· MediaTech will continue to provide a booking service for users who wish to request in advance the use of a MediaTech video on a certain date. MediaTech staff will continue to maintain the Medianet public catalog, which supports the booking service.
· Users can “book” (i.e., reserve in advance) a MediaTech video by using the Medianet catalog at MediaTech’s website
http://extranet.libraries.psu.edu/mtss/, or through email, phone, or fax to MediaTech staff. Thomas Building and Williard pickup locations are options via MediaTech’s bookings.
· MediaTech is not one of the Libraries’ pickup locations displayed in The CAT when holds are placed. As now, users can go in person to Wagner Annex for a video, but material from other library locations requested through “I Want It” cannot be picked up there.
