Anyone wishing to borrow materials must register with the Libraries. Borrowing privileges (information on the Lending Services website) are regulated by the University Libraries' Lending Code and administered by Lending Services. For more information about borrowing privileges, contact Lending Services at (814) 865-5429 or see the Lending Code.

According to the lending code, the following groups are considered eligible borrowers:
  • All current students, faculty, and staff of Penn State with a valid Penn State ID+ card.

  • Residents of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and other borrowers who have received permission from University Libraries and have been issued a library card.

Please note that visitors who are not eligible for borrowing privilegescan use many of the Libraries' resources while on site.
